Enroll anytime. New classes start every week, starting in May and continuing all summer long. Our Basic Sail course allows you to learn all you need to know to get out and enjoy our Great Lakes by sail. The total cost of our beginners program is only $349.00 per person*, or $599.00 per pair (friend, family member, whatever) and is designed to be flexible enough for even the busiest of schedules.
You will receive one 2-hour classroom sessions, one 2-hour dockside (where you raise and lower the sails, learn the parts of the boat, and motor in and out of the dock), plus between four and five—or six 2-hour on-the-water lessons with an instructor.
Note: If you need ANY more classroom, dockside sessions, or on-the-water sessions with an instructor, you can have as much as you need at No Extra Charge, because we guarantee you will learn to sail!
Once graduated, you can rent our boats. You can even buy a boat if you like. You’ll be a valued addition to our Western New York sail scene. Hopefully, you’ll stay with us and continue to enjoy our rental program, our Friday Night sail parties, women’s sail nights and Friends and Family sail days.
Our flexibility to meet your busy schedule is unsurpassed. New Basic Sail Classes start each week. For the Classroom session, you have a choice of either Thursday evenings 6-8 pm, or Saturday afternoons 1-3 pm. And for on-water lessons, we’ll make an appointment with you for whenever your schedule allows over the course of the week.

Season 2013 is our 43rd season teaching the love and art of sailing to Western New York and Southern Ontario individuals and families. Seven Seas is located on the Buffalo Ship Canal (right under the Buffalo Skyway) and hosts a beautiful club campus for education and social activities.
When you sign up for our classes, you’ve joined our community yacht club, open to your entire family. At Seven Seas, our mission is not money, but education, safety, recreation, and community interaction. Our goal is to teach you Sailing, for Life!

Seven Seas is the only sailing school in Western New York to offer US Sailing certification. US Sailing is the pinnacle of traditional sailing certification, recognized worldwide as America’s best.
